A Message from Kathleen:

Dear Friends,

For any of you who have experienced a family member or loved one with Alzheimer’s, you’ll understand what I mean when I say it’s hard to know whether this terrible disease is worse for the victim or the family.

If you haven’t experienced memory loss, it’s my fervent prayer that you never do.

President Ronald Reagan’s family called Alzheimer’s The Long Goodbye. It’s an excruciating farewell.

I don’t want to lose my mind and I am pretty sure you don't, either.

I am greatly encouraged by new and old research that gives each of us very specific tools to combat memory loss, and I’m honored to share some of them with you.

There is a study that showed the risk of Alzheimer’s decreased by 15 percent for every year a person works past the age of 65.

Well, I’m pretty far past that landmark and I’m still here, still loving my work and still intending to be for quite some time.

Be well,

Kathleen
